2008 Personal Achievement Award Winner
The Personal Achievement Award recognizes an employee who has gained meaningful work through supported employment, who has contributed substantially to his employer's enterprise, and who has achieved a more empowered lifestyle as a result.
Amy Korzekwa has worked as a clerical aid at Gregory & Appel since 1992. In her position she performs a variety of clerical tasks including the delivery of mail, distributing faxes, filing and maintaining the copiers. Her employer reports that Amy is a tremendous example of a person who has worked hard to achieve her goals and to overcome obstacles. Amy has demonstrated dependability and responsibility at work and in her personal life. She lives independently, rides the bus to and from work and is a valued member of the staff at Gregory & Appel. Amy’s supervisor says she always shows pride in her work and she enjoys showing others how to perform various tasks around the office including mail, changing toner and operating office equipment.
