Student Spotlight Award Winner: Tai Faleulu

The Indiana APSE Student Spotlight award honors students who demonstrate personal growth, workplace readiness, and a commitment to learning in community-based settings. Tai’s experience at Hubbard Hill exemplifies these qualities, and her selection as a Spotlight Award recipient recognizes the remarkable progress she made.

Over the course of eight weeks with the Wellness Team, Tai showed consistent development in confidence and communication. Initially reserved and hesitant, especially in resident interactions, she grew steadily more comfortable initiating conversations and taking responsibility for engaging residents in scheduled activities. Her shift from needing prompting to independently navigating the halls and inviting residents with clarity and enthusiasm was a notable transformation. Tai’s award is a reflection of her dedication and adaptability. Her growth, reliability, and positive attitude not only made her a valued team member—they demonstrated her readiness for future success in the workplace.
