Call for Nominations: Indiana APSE Board of Directors

The Indiana APSE Board of Directors seeks to fill 6 At-Large Board Member positions through this year’s call for nominations.

Indiana APSE is seeking members who have the expertise, talent, and desire to actively contribute to our state leadership. Indiana APSE is passionate about its role in leading the Employment First advocacy and policy movement, advancing the goals of employment for Hoosiers with disabilities, and innovative engagement with increased stakeholders groups such as employers and other helping professionals. 

At-Large Board Members are elected by all APSE members who vote in the election. At-Large members represent the full membership. Six At-Large Board Members will be elected this year. Each will serve a three-year term. 

People with disabilities, family members, those with financial and/or fundraising experience, transition coordinators, representatives of the business community, human resource professionals, direct-service employment professionals, and anyone that represents the rich diversity reflected in the communities in which our members work and serve are encouraged to apply. We strive to be an inclusive and welcoming organization. The Board invites current APSE members who desire to actively contribute financial and innovative talents to our Board and especially encourage those with lived experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nominations are open to any current APSE member willing to serve and able to fulfill the commitments outlined in this announcement. We are looking for people who are interested in leadership to promote Employment First and advance employment and self-sufficiency for all people with disabilities. Board Member Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend all quarterly board meetings.

  • Attend any special meetings called by the President.

  • Cast voting as needed throughout the terms.

  • Avoid any and all conflicts of interest. 

  • Represent the stakeholder needs of the IN-APSE state community. 

  • Actively participate in and contribute to sub-committees, including meeting attendance and assigned tasks.

  • Actively participate in and contribute to the success of IN-APSE’s annual conference.
